Biography

Born and raised in New Jersey, Joshua Jensen-Nagle came to Canada in 1999 to train in photography and seek out his future. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Art from Ryerson University, he has gone on to produce a broad array of photographic images. His most recent collection, of urban landscapes, was well-received in Toronto for its distinct, romanticized depiction of abandoned manufacturing sites.
Joshua is becoming increasingly known for his experimentation with image formats and production techniques, having moved away from traditional photography towards applications which establish a more pictorial feel. His colour palette, choice of texture, and ever-expanding range of prints mediums serve to enhance his already mood-driven stills.
He continues to develop his unique portfolio, now living and working in Toronto. He runs a state-of-the-art imaging facility where local artists join him in producing their work. Joshua’s images can be found in private collections across North America and Europe.
